(06/01/05) ANGUS TRIM ANNOUNCES WWW.ANGUSTRIMDIRECT.COM
This is not a redundant announcement. A few months ago we did post concerning Angus Trim's "new" official website. That site has changed as of June 1, 2005.
Angus Trim recently made this public announcement regarding www.angustrimdirect.com:
Since the end of the Museum Store days, Adrian and I have looked at various ways to work together again. However, with the health problems of the Lady Genise and other considerations, there will not be a future Museum Store.
So......
I started Angus Trim Direct, with the idea of being able to contribute to SFI.......
Sword Forum has not only been an important educational resource to the global Internet community for the last seven years, it is also fosters one of the most vibrant and friendly online learning atmospheres I've seen in this industry. SFI has done this out of pocket, and I know personally that much advertising revenue is turned down on purpose because Adrian Ko would prefer this website to retain its classy look and not be bogged down with ads that would make the place look really bad. Adrian's repeatedly turned down suggestions to make this a paid subscription site. Some of us sword makers have wanted to do something for SFI for years now....
Now that I've formed Angus Trim Direct and the business model now allows me to do this, it is my privilege to announce that ATD will be able to donate a portion of the proceeds of its direct sword sales to help SFI continue this tradition of being a valuable resource to sword collectors world wide for free. If you stop to consider how valuable knowledge is, then we have all gained immeasurably over our years participating here on Sword Forum. I feel it is only right to put back into this website and to help Adrian and Team in their educational endeavors.
Please note the website currently has some placeholder text. I don't mean for it to come across like SFI is selling swords, so I'd like to clarify a few things. Adrian does not wish to have SFI involved in sales in any way, shape or form because anything that could potentially stress Lady Genise could aggravate her sensitive condition due to her deteriorated health. So bear with me as my website guy won't be back until next week, and when he's back the website description of what Angus Trim Direct is about will be more concise.
Setting up websites is a lot of work, and this is still very much a work in progress.......
Much of the old Museum Store models are being ressurected as AT swords, and will be added to the current set of photos as soon as possible. The "Lady" swords all will be available here.... The sabers will be here...... The sparring stuff will be here.....
